We LOVED this hotel. Firstly, it IS an old hotel and all the things that come with classic structures like old elevators, fabric walls, tapestry-like carpets. It is located in the heart of everything-we walked everywhere! The hotel is easy to find and has an adjacent parking garage (costs $*-in line with all other hotels downtown) and your parking pass is good until 6pm of the day you check out. The hotel has city charm, was very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. For those that said the hotel was not clean must have been looking at it with a microscope because we didn't see anything wrong with the cleanliness. The rooms are small but comfortable and functional and have a coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, etc. We did not try the internet but I do believe you have to pay a small fee for service. The lobby has an Asian restaurant and a Seattle's Best coffee shop very convenient! The price was great for the convenience, charm, and ammenities and they let us check in early since the room was ready!

While the location of the Hotel was wonderful for bus access and sight seeing the room was tiny and not representative of the pictures at all. Being an older hotel alot of work was done to make it attractive, but the beds were hard, the sofa and chairs not comfortable for periods of time, and the noise between the heater/ac unit (in room) and the refridgerator turning off an on all night, left little sleep for those who are light sleepers. I left the hotel very tired every day. The heat/ac choice is at the discretion of the hotel owners. Luckily the window open so it did make it somewhat more comfortable, if you like sleeping with no covers April. The staff was very helpful and alwways had smiles on their faces when you needed their assistance. Not sure I would stay here again as for what you get - it was quite overpriced. The location was the only thing that saved it .........

The front desk staff was very friendly and when I called about something that I needed, the issue was taken care of right away. I didn't use room service, because there was no restaurant in the hotel -- except for Starbucks where you can enter from the lower level. The hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Seattle -- easy to get anywhere. The only thing that disappointed me was the cleanliness of my room -- or lack of it. My room was very small, which was okay, but the walls were dirty; it had spots, (food? grease?) which was gross. The carpet was not clean, it needed vacuuming and the bathroom floor looked dirty. I was there for 3 nights and it appeared that the sheets were never changed. If it weren't for the friendliness and prompt attention of the staff and the great location, I would have been very upset.
