We would never have been able to afford this stay if not for the secret hotel program. That being said it was as affordable as most bay area hotels with half of the stars but with all of the luxury touches one could ask for. The staff was gracious and went out of thier way to open doors, find directions, assist us with our luggage; once even refusing a tip because he was not actually the bell man but a manager. They were incredibly kid friendly with my nine year old son and all of his little boy energy and enthusiasm even though they are clearly geared more toward the business traveler. One the second day of our stay house keeping suprised me by including a magnified make up mirror in our bathroom. The parking was well lit and monitored which is so important to a mom traveling with children by herself. The lagoon and walk ways that surround the hotel were ideal for after dinner strolls to enjoy the sunset. I shopped a bit and needed to send a parcel back as not to exceed our baggage weight limit and the staff offers Fex Ex service there at the front desk. With abundant access to computer services if you are traveling for pleasure you can leave the lap top at home. From the refreshing lemon and strawberry infused water pool side to the comfy robe after showers I felt so pampered I doubt I'll stay any place else on our next visit. Why would I? It was perfection.

Our stay was certainly more than comfortable and I will stay here again. The staff were friendly, check-in was a breeze, parking was ample and convenient and the food was good. I had 5 specific issues with the room: 1. Lack of sufficient electrical receptacles for 2 computers, 2 cell phones and other electronic devices in need of a charge. 2. The internet connection was spotty (no excuse for a hotel across the street from Oracle) 3. The hotel windows don't open - so there's no fresh air... 4. The hotel bathroom was not properly cleaned (left over soap and shampoo caps from the previous occupant), the bathroom glasses are cleaned in the sink and then turned over to dry. 5. Top sheets only upon request (I am not buying the "green" argument - I'm buying the being cheap argument). This is kind of gross, because all occupants then touch the comforters! I informed the hotel about a few of these annoyances during my stay and they were responsive and I also told them after my stay. I did receive a nice letter from the hotel manager. Because it was a holiday weekend - the hotel stay was inexpensive. If you're visiting SF, this hotel is about 20-25 minutes from the city.

The lobby is gorgeous and the staff were nothing but friendly and and helpful. Upon opening the door to our room, however, I was terribly disappointed. The room did not mirror the elegance of the lobby. The wallpaper was peeling up in parts and the bathroom needed some love. There were hairs in the bathtub/shower and the sink and fixtures looked worn and the walls needed painting. I expected much more from the room in appearances, even the water faucet was incredibly cheap and it turned the wrong way. The room we stayed in must have had paper thin walls because I could hear the conversations of the people walking in the hallway, and not just muffled talking, but I could have joined their conversations. Every time someone left their room, we could hear the door close, and we could hear the running water when our neighbors flushed the toilet, turned on the sink or took a shower. Despite outward appearances, this hotel is nowhere near as comfortable as it looks. I'll be staying somewhere else the next time I'm in the area!

Not only did Travelocity have the cheapest rate for this hotel on my travel dates than any other internet website (including the hotel itself), but the hotel gave us a free room upgrade upon arrival. it is a luxurious hotel, with limited amenities, comfortable beds, and large rooms.

The hotel itself was fine -- room was clean and comfortable, staff was courteous. The problem is that the airport shuttle holds only 6 people, and they had no flexibility in terms of accommodating hotel guests when there was a high demand for the shuttle. I had to wait for over an hour for the shuttle to pick me up from the airport because it was already full. When I needed to return to the airport the next morning, I arrived at the front desk 30 minutes early as the staff suggested, and the shuttle was already full, so I had to pay for a $40 taxi ride back to the airport.
