Do not stay at this hotel unless you enjoy a hot, humid 2nd floor room with no working A.C., surly front desk people, and incompetent maintenance man who could not fix the A.C. after four attempts in three hours. Oh - and forget about taking a shower. No hot water. The Hotel Mager refused to make any adjustment to the bill because he said "we had used the room"! Without question the worst San Diego hotel we have stayed at.

The hotel is located in a good spot for getting to the local area tourist attractions. Seaworld, Old Town and beaches all close by. However if you are staying for a few days be prepared the bed is kinda hard and gets uncomfortable. There is no coffee pot in the room, iron and ironing board is available upon request. We did get a refrigerator, but at a cost of $* a day and our little bit of food we were able to put in it froze. There were no rules regarding the pool and all ages were allowed to use the jacuzzi. When we go to San Diego the next time we will choose an alternative hotel.

This place is a little older but went Memorial day weekend, so there wasn't much of a selection of budgeted hotels in the hotel circle. Was priced very decent. Bathroom was EXTREMELY small. A/C unit was outdated but most of the room was outdated. Had these awful curtains above the beds that just seemed unecessary. The lady and the gentelman at the desk were great, except we had to call at about 11pm to say our toilet wouldnt flush and he said that we might have to wait till tomorrow to get it fixed, then said that he would try to find the maintenance man and come right up. They fixed it immediately but it just bothered me that he said that instead of saying that he would help right away. Overall a good experience. I would stay there again, if it was just based on saving money. But for luxury I would definitely have to find somewhere else to go.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kings Inn. The rooms were clean, the staff exceptionally helpful and kind. We ate at the waffle spot and the Amingo Spot and both were great! They will be top on our list for San Diego everytime!

Room was nice, bed comfortable. It would have been nice if I actually was able to sleep. A group of 30 or so teenagers upstairs made it impossible to sleep. Management called me up at midnight thinking I was their chaperone, complaining about them running around the parking lot. I had just barely managed to fall asleep, was awoken by the call and was unable to sleep the rest of the night. I was going to a concert the next night, spent over $* on tickets, and could not go because of exhaustion from my sleepless night. Just drove home. My brothers room was at the end of the building, close to the road and it was very noisy. Horrible, costly experience.
