Stayed at the Bahia Thanksgiving '08 and 7/12 - 7/17/09. In '08 had a one story unit near the pool. In '09 in the south tower. Both stays excellent. Staff were abundant and friendly. Check in and out handled without problem. A request for additional hangers was filled promptly. Housekeeping was very flexible around late sleeping teenagers. The tower room included a fridge, and small stove which proved very handy. In neither case were the rooms themselves noteworthy, but were clean and comfortable. The tower room on the fourth floor had a spectacular view facing east. Enjoyed an evening glass of wine on the balconey with a view of the lights reflected on the bay, families enjoying a late night fires at the beach, and the Sea World fireworks. Groundskeeping staff does an excellent job maintaining lush grounds. Tennis and shuffleboard court available, didn't use either so no comment. Spent a considerable time at the pool which was well maintained and towels provided. During the summer a bar and BBQ food are open at the pool. Heineken was $5, hamburger with chips was about $6.5 An arcade gameroom with about 9 games says my son is available at the pool and the games are free. Pool can get crowded but we always found a spot. Most outstanding feature of this hotel is the location. Walk to ocean and bay. Jog on the boardwalk. Mexican food, Sushi, Pizza, Bars, Roller Coaster and other rides 3 minute walk away. Good place from which to start bikerides. We rode to Point Loma and downtown, around Fiesta Island and then up Mount Soledad for great view, and up Rose Canyon bike path to get to UCSD and farther north to Solana Beach.

It was nice to find a hotel that does not nickel and dime you to death.? There rates were great and when we got there everything was included, like parking, internet and they have a great game room for kids that is free.? Rooms were very comfortable and we even had a small kitchen area that we could cook in.? In todays world it is nice to find a hotel like this.? We will be back

I really enjoyed staying at Bahia. I stayed there while during my spring break with some family. It is a really nice place to stay. I would reccomend it to anyone and would definitely stay there again. Everything was within walking distance and i enjoyed being surorunded by the beach!
